Yoga is an ancient science and practice that is thousands of years old. It focuses on physical, mental and spiritual development. We aim to bring about a union of body, mind, breath and soul through our yoga practice. Yoga enables us to enjoy a healthy body and a calm and clear mind. Everyone can practice yoga regardless of age, sex or physical ability.
Regular practice has many positive benefits. These include; increasing flexibility, stamina and strength, maintaining good health of the respiratory, digestive, muscular, nervous and skeletal systems, promoting calm and relaxation, relieving tension and stress, improving concentration and focus, enhancing body awareness and encouraging positive energy. With regular practice yoga has also been shown to help alleviate many common complaints.
